User groups and rights
A user group is a set of rights. Instead of setting rights person by person, you create a group for each job, such as Sales, Store or Accounts, and put users in it.
Open Settings›Users›Groups.

Create a group
- Click New.
- Enter the Group Name, for example Sales, and a Description.
- Optionally, set the Default Landing Page (see below).
- Tick the rights the group needs under Access Rights.
- Click Save.
Access rights
The rights are grouped into Settings (setup and master data), Transactions (documents) and Report. Open a group to see its areas, such as Customer, Vendor, Inventory or Financial, with one row per screen or document.
| Right | Allows the user to |
|---|---|
| View | Open the screen or the report and see the records. |
| Create | Add new records or documents. |
| Modify | Change existing records or documents. |
| Delete | Delete or cancel records or documents. |
| Print and email documents (transactions only). |
The buttons above the table save time: Grant View — All ticks View everywhere, Grant All ticks every right, and Clear All removes them all. A common approach is to start with Clear All and tick only what the job needs.
Examples
| Group | Typical rights |
|---|---|
| Sales | View, Create and Print on customers, estimates, sales orders, delivery notes, invoices and customer payments. View on items. No Delete. |
| Store | View on items. View, Create and Print on stock transfers, adjustments, goods receipts and delivery notes. Landing page /inventory. |
| Accounts | All rights on financial documents, payments and banking. View on sales and purchases. All reports. |
| Management | View on everything, all reports. |
Default landing page
The page the group's users see after signing in. Leave it empty for the normal The dashboard. Two values are useful:
/inventory: the inventory view of the dashboard, for store keepers./kitchen: the kitchen screen, for kitchen staff.
Change or delete a group
Select the group, change it and save. The new rights apply to all its users. Delete a group only once no users are in it.
