Branches
A branch is a location or division of your company with its own documents, warehouses and figures. Reports can show one branch or all of them.
Open Settings›Branch. A new company has one branch. Add more if you have several shops, offices or cities that need their own figures.
Add a branch
- Click New.
- Enter a short Branch Code, for example
RUH, and the Branch Name, for example Riyadh. Both are required. - Choose the Country and the Region (required). Only that country's regions are listed. Add the region first if it is missing (see Countries, regions and cities).
- Enter the branch's Address and, if goods are delivered somewhere else, the Ship-To Address.
- Click Save.
Then add at least one warehouse to the branch if it keeps stock (see Warehouses), and give users access to it (see Branch and warehouse access).
How many branches you can add
Your subscription plan sets the number of branches. When you add a branch, the form shows how many you have used, for example 2 of 3 branches in your plan used. When you reach the limit, contact Exler IT Hub support to add more branches to your subscription.
Change or delete a branch
Select the branch in the list, change it and click Save. Its documents keep their link to the branch, so a new name also shows on older documents and reports.
Delete is only for a branch you added by mistake and haven't used yet. Once a branch has warehouses, users or documents, keep it.
Every journal line belongs to a branch, so you can get a trial balance, a profit and loss statement and a VAT report for each branch, as well as for the whole company.
