Arabic and English
Fiscal works in English and in Arabic. Each person can switch at any time, and the screens turn right to left in Arabic.
Turn on Arabic for your company
Arabic is off until an administrator turns it on for the company.
- Open Settings›Preference.
- Open the Business Rules tab.
- Under Language, switch on Enable Arabic Language and save.
The language switch appears on everyone's top bar straight away. If you switch Arabic off again, everyone goes back to English.
Switch between English and Arabic
Click العربية on the top bar to work in Arabic, and English to go back. The whole app changes at once: menus, screens, reports, messages and the dates written out on screen. You don't need to sign out, and nothing you have open is lost.
Your browser remembers your choice, so Fiscal opens in the same language next time on that computer, until you sign in again.
The van sale and kitchen screens have the same switch on their own top bar. The POS selling screen follows the language chosen in the main app.
Each user's default language
Every user can start in their own language. Open Settings›Users›Users, edit the user and choose the Default Language: English or العربية (Arabic). Fiscal opens in that language each time the user signs in. The field appears only when Arabic is turned on for the company.
What changes in Arabic
- The screens read right to left: the side menu is on the right and tables start from the right.
- Records that have an Arabic name show it: customers, vendors and items use their Regional Name, and accounts their Arabic title, when one is filled in. You can search customers, vendors and items by the Arabic name too.
- Calendars and dates show Arabic month and day names on the Gregorian calendar. Numbers keep the 0-9 digits.
- Messages from Fiscal, such as "not enough stock", appear in Arabic.
- Report prints and the Business Analysis Excel files are in Arabic and read right to left.
Printed documents and emails
- Statements of account, group receipts, van daily reports and stock count sheets always print with English and Arabic labels, whoever prints them, because they go to customers and staff.
- Invoices and other documents print with your company's print templates. The default Tax Invoice template is in English and Arabic; you can change any template under Print templates.
- Emails of documents use your email templates, which you can write in Arabic (see Email setup and templates).
- The Business Analysis summary email is written in the language of the user who created the schedule, and the memorized transaction reminder in the language of the user who last saved its settings.
The sign-in page is always in English, because Fiscal only knows your company's settings after you sign in.
