How reports work
Every report in Fiscal works the same way: choose it from a catalogue, set the filters, run it, then export or print it.
Open a group under Reports in the side menu: Sales, Customers, Vendors, Client Groups, Financial, Fixed Assets, Tax, Period Summary, Point of Sale, Inventory, Production and Masters.
Run a report
- Pick a report from the catalogue. Each card says what the report shows.
- Set the filters: usually the date or period, the branches, and filters such as customer, item or warehouse.
- Click Run Report.
- Click Excel to download it, or Print.
Each report says when it was generated and by whom. Amounts are in your base currency.
What reports include
- Only your branches. Reports only include the branches you have access to (see Branch and warehouse access).
- Only posted documents. Drafts are left out, and cancelled documents count as cancelled.
- The accounts. Financial reports come from the posted journal, so they always agree with the documents.
The report chapters
- Financial reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, ledgers.
- Sales reports, Customer and vendor reports and Client group reports.
- Tax reports and the VAT return: the VAT return and its details.
- Period summary and day book: daily and monthly summaries, and the day book.
- Inventory reports, Production reports and Master data reports.
- Business analysis and the Management Monitor, for owners and managers.
- Fixed asset reports and POS reports, covered in their chapters.
